Spicy Butter Spaghetti

Cook time: 20 minutes

  • - 1 stick of unsalted butter

    - 1/8 cup olive oil

    - 2-3 tablespoons of chili flakes

    - 1/4 cup of chopped parsley

    - 1 thinly sliced shallot

    - juice of half a lemon

    - 5 thinly sliced garlic cloves

    - 1/2 cup manchego cheese

    - Thin spaghetti

  • - Bring salted pasta water to a boil and cook according to package instructions reserving 1 cup of pasta water

    - in a large sauce pan melt butter and olive oil mixture together.. add in chili flakes and cook over medium high heat for 5 minutes constantly stirring

    - Lower to medium heat, add in lemon juice, shallots, garlic and parsley; season with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder

    - Add in cooked spaghetti with 1/2 - 3/4 cup of pasta water and a sprinkle of manchego cheese… enjoy!
